This really is my favorite time of year to shoot — everything feels slower, softer, and a little extra meaningful. And if you’ve been thinking about booking your family session… I promise, it is not too late.
I loved getting to photograph this adorable growing family. Mama was glowing in that way only an expecting mother can — the kind of glow that even golden hour can’t compete with. Her husband was so sweet with her the whole time, the little smiles, the quick glances… you can just feel how excited they are for this next chapter. And then there was their tiny puppy, who 100% believed this session was about him. He was running around, posing, stealing attention — and honestly? He made the shoot even better.
We met out in the San Antonio Hill Country, and the light was perfection. That soft golden hour glow that makes everything look warmer and more magical than real life. Every time I shoot out here, I’m reminded how lucky we are to live in such a sunny, beautiful part of Texas. Even during the “colder” months, we get evenings like this — warm, glowy, and full of color.
Sessions like this one make my heart so full. It’s the simple moments: the hand on her belly, the puppy nudging his nose into the frame, the soft laugh between two people who adore each other. Those are the moments worth saving.
